John Ippolito has been involved in the entertainment world involved in producing events along with creating documentary films under the Blue Umbrella Entertainment banner since 1998 and in 2019 all ventures under that brand became Yellow Box Entertainment. After being involved in the world of tennis from playing to organizing tournaments John was also the General Manager of two of the legendary tennis clubs in the world at The Tennis Club of Rochester and The Orange Lawn Tennis Club. He spent over a decade as the Director of Tennis at the Cape Cod Ridge Club owned by hockey legend Bobby Orr. He still competes on the Senior Tennis Tour and has competed in all four of the National tournament events since the age of 35. ( National Grass, National Clay, National Hardcourts and National Indoors.) He now competes in the 65 age division. John established James Montgomery Events in 2003 which is active today with his business partner Grammy Nominated Blues Legend James Montgomery .
They launched The Boston Legends Tour in 2004 which is a collaborative show featuring the legends of Rock and Blues including Huey Lewis, Billy Squire, Elliot Easton (The Cars), Jim Belushi, Barry Goudreau (Boston), J.Geils, The Uptown Horns, Grace Kelly, Brad Whitford (Aerosmith) and more. John and his partner Brian Serpone produced the largest fundraiser on Cape Cod in The Hope Music Festival which raised $250,000 for Opioid Care and Prevention. Documentary films to date have included Men In Green (The Boston Celtics Legends) hosted by Celtics great Satch Sanders, Expectations (The NE Patriots Legends with host former Pats QB Steve Grogan, Man In Blue (The James Montgomery Story), 25...Tony Conigliaro The Documentary
and currently in production is the newest film documentary project Back Beat From Above...The Legacy of Sib Hashian. Sib Hashian is the former drummer of the platinum group Boston and the film will feature Rock and Roll legends along with celebrities of all genres.
Yellow Box Entertainment also serves as the event and entertainment marketing arm for the Cisco Brewery in New Bedford, MA and also produces music events at The Music Room Cape Cod.
